Size & fit guide

Snowboard length

Check the chosen model's rider-weight range and width first. Height, ability and riding style refine the choice. If two lengths suit your weight, the shorter is generally more agile and the longer more stable at speed. Wide and volume-shifted models need their own manufacturer guidance.

Alpine ski length

Start with the ski's intended use and model-specific manufacturer advice. Weight, ability, stiffness and shape also matter. These adult height ranges are starting points, not a size chart for every model.

Piste-15 … -5 cm
All-mountain-10 … 0 cm

This is not a children’s or specialist race-ski chart. Check the selected model’s recommendations.

Measure your feet

Measure both feet while standing and compare the longer measurement with your own brand's chart. Mondopoint refers to foot length in centimetres; it is not the boot-sole length used to adjust a binding. EU equivalents and performance fits vary by brand. Check last width and volume as well.

  1. Place paper against a wall. Stand with your heel against the wall wearing the socks you plan to use.
  2. Mark the longest toe and measure from the wall in centimetres. Measure both feet.
  3. Compare the longer measurement with your own brand’s chart. Check width, volume and fit as well.

Winter clothing measurements

Measure chest, waist and hip circumference and your inside-leg length. Compare measurements with the chosen brand and model’s chart or fit tool. Choose jacket and pants sizes separately for two-piece outfits and allow for your base layers.

Ski boots and bindings

Check both the boot-sole standard and the binding's approved standards. Matching brands alone do not establish compatibility. GripWalk boots need a GripWalk-approved binding; an ordinary Alpine binding is not automatically suitable. For MN/MNC and touring bindings, check the exact model manual. Have a qualified ski technician mount, adjust and test the system.

Boot soleStandard
AlpineISO 5355
GripWalkISO 23223
TouringISO 9523

Adult and child markings differ. Pin systems need approved inserts. A size chart does not determine binding release settings.

Snowboard boots and bindings

Use the binding manufacturer's size chart and check the boot's actual outer shape and adjustment range. S/M/L does not cover the same sizes across brands. Check the board mounting system too: Burton EST requires The Channel; Re:Flex and older 3D mounts need the correct model and disc. Step On requires a compatible Step On boot.

Glove and protection sizing

Use the glove maker's own chart. Measure hand circumference and hand length separately as directed; they are different measurements. Allow room for finger movement and any liner glove.

Your brand’s size guides

Dope

On the matching manufacturer product page, open Find Your Size. FitFinder asks for height, weight, body shape and preferred fit. Check the cut as well: Relaxed and Boxy have different silhouettes even at the same label size. Consider movement and layering.

Manufacturer size guide ↗

Montec

Open Find Your Size on the matching manufacturer product page. FitFinder uses height, weight, body shape and fit preference. Consider the cut and your base and mid-layers; use the product-specific recommendation rather than a universal S/M conversion.

Airblaster

Measure chest and hip circumference at their fullest points with the tape level, and waist at its narrowest point. Follow the brand diagram for inseam endpoints. Compare body measurements with the exact brand, model and fit chart, allowing for the layers you will wear.

Manufacturer size guide ↗

OOSC

Choose the correct garment category and men's/unisex or women's fit. Measure height, chest circumference and waist circumference. The OOSC suit diagram measures the inside leg from crotch to foot. Use its centimetre chart; do not transfer a suit table to jackets or trousers.

ThirtyTwo

Measure both feet while standing, heel to longest toe, in centimetres. Use the longer foot with that brand's snowboard-boot chart. Try on with riding socks and check toe room, width and heel hold. Do not substitute another brand's EU conversions.

Manufacturer size guide ↗

Burton

In Burton's chart, choose Boots and the correct men's, women's or children's section. Do not assume your street-shoe size is identical. Try boots with riding socks while standing and flexing your knees. Toes should lightly touch the liner without being crushed, and the heel should stay secure.

K2

Dakine

Measure hand circumference around the knuckles, excluding the thumb, as shown in Dakine's diagram. Use the chart for your exact model and men's, women's or children's category. This is circumference, not straight palm width or finger length.

Manufacturer size guide ↗

Hestra

Measure hand circumference just below the knuckles, excluding the thumb, and compare with the exact glove model's chart. Women's, unisex and junior sizes differ; junior 7 is not adult 7. Sport gloves need a little air space around the hand.

Manufacturer size guide ↗

Lenz

Measure hand circumference in centimetres following the manufacturer diagram. Choose the correct Gloves Men, Gloves Women or Gloves Unisex section. The same letter covers different measurements between sections; do not use the Moto chart for snow gloves.
